Joining EMDT!

I am SO excited to announce that I will be joining Emily May Dance Theatre as part of the cast for “MANufactured”, which is being performed at the Society for Dance Research’s “Dance in the Age of Forgetfulness” conference in April 2018.  Emily is a good friend of mine and I have seen her choreographic and academic pursuits go from strength to strength, she is one to watch!

The third and final new dancer for MANufactured at the Society for Dance Research's "Dance in the Age of Forgetfulness" conference in April 2018 is the wonderful @ellenfinlay Originally from Dublin, Ellen trained with Dublin Youth Dance Company, @shawbrookdance Youth Dance company and The Goode School of Dance before pursuing her training in London. She has recently graduated with First Class Honours in Contemporary Dance from Trinity Laban. While in training, she worked with choreographers such as Gary Lambert, Jessica Wright (Company Wayne McGregor) and Marina Collard. She has also created and presented her own work in venues across the UK and Ireland, in venues such as Southwark Platform, the Artworks Elephant and Shawbrook Forest Stage. Since graduation, she has participated in a number of research and performance projects, most recently performing at the Interactive Art Festival-Liminal Boundaries in London. Ellen is interested in work that is placed in a historical and political context, that provokes conversation and engages audiences. Ellen has worked with @emilyjaynemay96 before on collaborative choreographic projects and is excited to perform for the first time as an official member of EMDT!
